WASR 10 ?

Hello
I was wondering if it would be legal to adapt the single stack Romanian WASR 10 to take the hi-cap double stack mags?

  In order to do this legally you would have to change over the typical 10 imported parts for US made components. These imported semi automatic "sporters" were restrcited to 10 round magazine capacity by a Clinton exectutive order in 1998 which prohibited the importation of any semauto rifle which could accept a "banned" hi cap magazine. By changing out the ten parts the import has enough US components to use the high capacity magazines. There are a number of companies which sell complete parts sets which will make nearly any "sporter" (AK, FAL, HK) compliant. Get a hold of a copy of Shotgun News and take a look at the ads.
