stag grip care
Is ther anything in particular I need to do to keep a set of stag grips in good condition?

It depends on what you call protected condition.
If they stay in a safe they'll remain the same.
If they are on a user they'll wear very slowly.
Many people actually prefer aging stag when the
edges aren't so sharp and they develope the yellowing.
I've heard of using a light(clear) wax to protect from
scratching and abrasion but I'm not sure if it prevents
yellowing which is increased with handling and sunlight.0 -
I have a set of stag grips on my Ruger New model, Put them on about 20 years ago, havent done any thing to them and they still look the same to me.[^] 0 -
Mostly nothing, however, I do try to soak my ivory grips, and stag, once a year -overnight in mineral oil. Works for me. [:)]
