Sportarms Derringer ??
Greetings,
I come here in hopes of finding some information on a gun that a friend of mine recently purchased. It is a "sportarms" .22LR Derringer(serial# 024092). The gun has no model number any where on the frame. It is gunmetal grey in color, has pearl styled grips, and the most interesting part is that the barrel has sights on the top and bottom and rotates at the center point for loading purposes. I have not been able to find any info on this gun as in its age, history, or worth. Any information would be greatly welcomed. feel free to e-mail me at: Fatphat@hotmail.com with any suggestions as to the age, origin,or worth of this gun.
Thank You For Your Time

Sportarms was an importer in the Miami area, and they imported low priced firearms from all over the world. If this is the derringer I'm thinking of, its a two-shot repeater with the barrels turned by hand around a central axis. That was a copy of an American Arms gun from c.1866.
I dont remember where the gun was actually manufactured, though. Values are under $100.

Thanks for the information. Is there anywhere I can go to check on the age of this gun and does sportarms still import?? 0 -
I dont believe Sportarms is in business any longer. The gun would have been imported in the early to mid 1980's.
