The Glasers are to prevent over-penetration. They fragment when hitting anything solid. They are good rounds, epecially in a situation where people are close-by and you need to avoid unintentional harm to these people.
I have heard how a 9mm supposedly fragments and has the energy transfer of a .44 mag. Since these claims, I hadn't heard of anyone make near that bold of a statement. I think it was false.
Personally, with the exception of the above example, I'd opt for Black Talons, Hydra-shock's, or other high-quality hollow-point.

Yeah, RIGHT!! I don't think so, in fact, not even close. There is no amount of physics that could make me believe that.

Ask any LEO (Law Enforcement Officer) about gunshot wounds (GSW), and if they've seen the effect Magsafe ammo has on a human; hands down best overall CCW (concealed carry weapon) rounds.
.32 cal. in your Kel-tec will hit like a .357 JSP. No fragmentation like the Glasers when hitting a leather jacket; no hollowpoint filling up with clothing and not expanding like the Gold Dot.
If you thought the Glasers were pricey.....

If you know it all; you must have been listening.WEAR EAR PROTECTION!

I don't usually chime in on these type of posts anywhere. Too many opinions based on too much personal experiance. However, I can't pass on the comparison of a .32 to a .357. You can have ANY .32 and I will take the .357 JSP. Anybody want to trade hits?

The frangible ammo like Mag-safe and Glaser are loaded
to nearly +P+ levels and are designed to fragment upon
soft tissue impact causing major impact trauma and a
wound channel that is hideous. I'll side with both parties
in that if I KNOW i'm going into a gunfight you'll find
me holding a .45acp or .357mag but try throwing one of these
into the pocket of your shorts in the middle of the summer
on a quick out of the house errand! I actually have one of
the Kel-Tec P-32s that rides in my pocket(with that awesome
little clip) or in a back up ankle holster and I NEVER leave with
it unless there is MAG-SAFE in it!

The BEST defense bullet is the one that completely immobilizes the offender. PERIOD.

If anybody really believes that any .32ACP has the stopping power of a .357 Magnum, I've got a lovely bridge I'd like to sell you.

There is limited reporting of the effectiveness of ammo used by police in actual shootings. However, few, if any, police use frangible ammo such as Glaser or Mag-Safe, so reports of its effectiveness are anecdotal, at best. Tests on medium size animals seems to indicate that it would perform well on 2 legged varmints; unlike most high velocity bullets on the market, which will go through the target if they don't hit bone, frangible bullets tend to deliver their full energy TO the target. So, you're going to have to make up your own mind as to which is best for you, and the situations where you are most likely to encounter a varmint.

Where frangible ammo undoubtedly excels is reduction of injury to innocent bystanders. I have responded to many GSW incidents where a high velocity bullet went through several walls, or struck a bystander down the street from the intended victim. Frangible ammo virtually disintegrates after striking the first solid object, practically eliminating ricochets & "shoot-through". I fear killing an innocent family member or neighbor far more than I fear getting shot by a varmint to whom I applied insufficient killing power.
