In need of a hammer any one know where I can get
one for a 22 LR Frontier Model Derringer that was made in West Germany????[?][?][?]

Do you have the old one? What is wrong with it? No more than such a gun is worth(or will be fired) perhaps someone with a torch can add a bit of spring wire (hard) metal and recut the cocking notches. Could be done with a torch, too. Otherwise, have to lay the old hammer on a sheet of steel, cut out the outline with hacksaw, bandsaw, or by drilling lots of little holes around the outline of the part, then using bench grinder to get rid of the "humps" left by the drill, and the cold chisel. Lot of work for such a low value gun. Then the steel either has to be temper-hardened all the way thru, or if its cold or hot rolled steel, and thus cant be tempered, it will have to be case hardened, with a torch and Kasenit powder, (Brownell's or a welding supply store) 0 -
I believe that was a Rohm product. Although not specifically listed in their catalog, call Gun Parts Corp directly (visit the website at www.e-gunparts.com) and describe what you have and need.
The original hammer was not steel, so it may or may not be able to be repaired in that fashion... Making a hammer as outlined above would be, well, interesting...
