i just recently purchased a pre ban colt ar 15 and was wondering its value the ones i see have a forward assist and mine does not the gun is in perfect shape has the flash supressor and bayonet lug with a military bayonet and original colt sling any help would be appreciated thanks

  The earliest Colt AR-15's did not have the forward assist feature.
  
  That said, you need to make sure it is all-Colt. Makes a difference in $$.

  it is all colt it was bought by my uncle around 25 years ago he sold it to me and bought a bushmaster
