    Have Winchester of 1917 in the closet. 30-06 with Herter muzzle brake on it. Doesn't appear to be original. Not finding much info on this production. Post some thots on the rifle. Thanks, GW.

    'Very good' is a meaningless phrase when you are discussing the condition of a piece like the '66. Even the smallest of problems or the most seemingly insignificant feature can alter the price by thousands.

    We appraise several antique Winchester rifles each year. It is a time consuming process if done right.

    If you have to ballpark your value, $4000 for a complete functional rifle to sky's-the-limit for a factory engraved mint condition piece.
