Do a search for Numrich Arms, Gunparts Corporation, W. Hurley, NY. Or Bob's Gun Shop, Fisk's (no email) several others were on my old pc at work,I'll see if I can retrieve them for you. Might also try SOG, they sell the big framed Stars, might have parts for same. Their ad is is SGN (shotgun news tradepaper) every month. Call around the newsstands, and SGN also has a web site (I think) Get a copy, it's a great resource. It comes out 3x a month, costs about $5 a copy.

I've always just used Hoppe's solvent, or GI Bore Cleaner, in a ventilated area. Do a search for Brownell's, ask their techs for parts sources. Every gun man HAS to have a copy of their catalog. $5,applied toward your first purchase from them. They are high priced, so dont buy any "generic" hardware-tools from them. Get that sort of stuff from McMaster-Farr hardware (Chicago, ILL.

Remove the Star's stocks, and look for a leaf spring that serves as a magazine safety. I have no experience with the big Stars, but the compact models all have this mag safety. It bears against the mag, not letting it just fall out of the gun.

    1. It does have a magazine safety, which bears against the takedown lever and blocks the sear. More kin to the Hi-Power than the 1911.

    2. Gun Parts Corp (www.e-gunparts.com) MIGHT, but Bob's Gun Parts has been known to have parts for the Super-B. Phone 501-767-1970.

    3. Automotive window-washer fluid. Just remember to oil afterwards.

    4. Any close-grained walnut or other hardwood. Laminates are fine, too.
