Rifle value?
I have a rifle that I never used and I'm thinking about selling it but I'm not sure of a fair asking price. It's a 1995 7MM Browning A-Bolt II Composite Stalker with BOSS. The gun is in good shape and has a Swift 4-12X50 scope on it. Can someone tell me what is the average value of this gun is, with or without the scope?

I am wondering the value of a 308 savage 99cd lever action. In nice shape visually. Thank you in advance for your help. 0 -
Welcome to GB!!
The 35 Whelen was offered in 1988. It is valued at $645 New In Box, $475 Excellent. The book I have is from Gun List, should be accurate.

Hi Fish, I just bought one with dies and a Leupold 3-9 for $550.00. Gun alone I would think around $400.00 0 -
P.S. Fish the price I paid I thought was fair. Not the deal of a life time but I didn't get ripped off. 0 -
Dealers almost never offer more than 50% of CURRENT RETAIL PRICE, when you offer to sell them a used gun. That's in EXCELLENT condition, and for a popular make and model and caliber. Many have no use whatsoever for a .35 Whelen. You'd have to live in elk or Moose country for such a caliber to have much,if any, appeal. Its power is completely unnecessary for deer, and its no long range,open-plains caliber, and its no varmint or match load, and a bolt action is no combat rifle. So its appeal is VERY limited, and the selling price will reflect that. 0 -
Thank you all for your info.
