swedish mauser

I have just recently purchased a Swedish Mauser stamped 1910 with bayonet. When attached the bayonet is sloppy as there seems to be some sort of bushing missing from end of barrel. All that is there is threads. Can someone tell me what I am missing and where I could fine it to complete this rifle. Many thanks, Joe

  I have a Swedish Mauser marked Carl Gustafs 1909 on reciever. All number match and is in near perfect shape, it has a threaded barrel with flash hidder. Could someone tell me what the rifle is worth? It is all original.

  I believe the barrel is threaded for a Blank Firing Adapter that shredded the wooden blanks the Swedish Army used.
  Never saw any of the adapters for sale, have seen in the past a metal threaded sleeve that covered up the threads.

  rufe-snow is correct. Mine came with the adaptor cover to protect the threads. For training they used cartridges with wooden bullets and there was a shredder to shred the bullets as they left the muzzle. I have not seen one of those available either.   There is a flash hider made for these rifles, but it ain't made in Sweden. It is an aftermarket rig, doesn't look too bad, it looks better than those damn threads anyway. But, it is bad for accuracy. I was just looking at the threaded covers at samcoglobal.com yesterday, they have a plastic one for a couple bucks. Also, they carry high front sights. Your gun will be real high at 100, you may want to put a high front sight on it.

  Correct on the blank-firing adaptor. They are available, just check around. There are both plastic and steel thread protecting caps available, as well as the flash-hider.
  
  I think the minimum range on the stock sights is 300 meters, so the higher front sight is very useful.
