10/22 mag parts

While target practicing with my 10/22 mag, the extractor, spring, and the little plunger that goes in the end of the spring all flew out with an ejected round. This weapon hasn't had 200 rounds through it yet. First has this happened to anyone else, and second, where can I get the little follower that goes on the end of the spring?. ( I plan on upgrading to an after market extractor)

  I would contact Ruger. They are pretty good about service and sending parts for ones that fail.

  What brand of ammo was it that you were shooting? I'm thinking CCI or Armscor-they both have "hotter than usual" loads in some lots.
  I've put a few thousand rounds thru my 10/22 Mag since I got it last year, swapped the barrel & stock, bedded it in Durhams' Rock Hard Water Putty, added a Swarovski 6-18X40 on the Ruger rings; shoots like a dream! Looks like no other gun in town!

  I am using PMC 40gr HP's, they do bang. I also have a Butler creek barrel, and have cut down the original stock to fit it, but it doesn't explain the extractor deal
