Any one know what a pair of 1971 Ulysses S Grant black powder revolvers are worth. In the presentation box, just an idea is fine. A buddy's uncle died and the widow is looking to sell.

  According to the Blue Book, a U.S. Grant 1851 Navy (in 100% condition) is worth $595.
  
  If they're a cased pair, they'd be worth quite a bit more than just double the price.....especially if they're consecutively serial numbered. My guess would be $1500-2000. But that's just a guess.
  
  BTW....4,750 were made, and they originally sold for $250.
