Rem.1100 410

Is the current 1100 410 built on it's own frame size or a larger one like in a 20 gauge?

I am not real knowledgeable on this but I recently swapped butt stocks around on the small gage 1100s. I put a 28 ga. stock on my light 20, took that stock and put it on my .410. They all seem to be the same. These are not new guns however. You might call or email Remington.

I'm not positive either... The Gun Traders Guide simply says "same as the standard 1100 but with a scaled-down receiver". This verbage is the same way it talkes about the 20 gauge LW. Also a lot of the parts in the reminton parts manual lists some parts as for both the 28 and for the .410 but not very many are listed for both. And I didn't see any that mentioned the 20 when listing more than one gauge. Look at the links yourself, maybe it'll answer your questions.

I have an older 1100 .410 and really like it, and FINALLY (after over 6 months) found all the factory barrels for it (Skeet, IC, Mod, & Full).[:)]

If it's any help, I believe the 1100 .410 uses the same frame as their 740 and 7400 series semiauto rifles.
