I am in need of some info on pwa lowers. My internet searches don't really tell me anything much about the mfg. dates. I am to belive that the post ban lowers have a date pre-fix. I did find several tele. numbers which turned out to be someones home.The particular one I am looking to buy has a 46000 commando serial number. Can anyone shed some light on this subject? Thanks

  All the lists we've seen indicate a cut off at #35222. Now, this may be a single-source piece of information that is just being regurgitated on multiple websites but if I were buying that lower I'd buy it as a post-ban.

  If it wasn't already an assault rifle prior to sept, 1994, it doesn't matter when it was made. Even receivers made prior to that date are post ban if they weren't already guns. True "pre-ban" receivers are virtually non-existant, most of them have a tendancy to stay together as complete guns (which they would have to have been prior to the ban, at least, they would have to be grouped with the necessary parts). The ATF visited most manufacturers shortly after the ban and recorded the info on those that were not already built.
