Where to find a Colt 80 series officer's Frame
Hello, would anyone know where I could find a Colt 80 Series Stainless Steel Officer's model Frame? I have been looking everywhere and even bothered to call Colt about it.[:(!] (Didn't get anywhere). I would really appreciate your thoughts...[:)]

Do a search for Springfield Arms, or Kimber, Les Baur, Ed Brown, I believe all offer such a size frame, but the actual Colt, you will have to get either from Colt, or used, from shops or a private party. 0 -

I kind of wanted to keep all colt if I can. Every part including pins and screws are colt original except the receiver. I know that 80 series has inherent problem with trigger adjustment but nostalgia reasons.... maybe.
I have checked with Colt directly and they gave me the cold shoulder of "no frame sale" talk so, that was a dead end. I will try 2nd hand or other armorers and see if they have a spare one. if you hear other source, I would appreciate it. thanks.... joseph

Look in the Gun List trade paper, and maybe try a cheap want ad in same, and in the Shotgun News. I've got about 40 active gun forum sites in my favorites. If you post a want ad in all of them, you can without doubt get an OM, but just the frame, I doubt it. 0 -

Try [www.kingsgunworks.com]online catalog.They are in Glendale CA.They show several brands of government model receivers and even though the online catalog doesn't show Colts at this time give them a call because the sell alot of Colts and do much custom work on them.CW
