Glock 23 v. Springfield XD
I have pretty much narrowed my choice of a .40 caliber pistol to a Glock 23 or Springfield XD medium size. If anyone can give me the benefit of your thoughts, ideas, or opinions about these two, I would appreciate it.

No experience with the 40 cal, but I do have a GLock 19 and a Springfield XD9....I would personally take the XD9 over the 19. Just a thought.

I own a Glock 22 and love it. I like it as much as my Kimber Custom Stainless Target. I would recommend the Glock as it is time tested and proven to be extremely reliable and accurate. Also there is an extensive array of after market accessories to add if you like lights, lasers, high cap mags, ect.

I have a glock 17 and a xd9, i prefer the xd9 myself. Iseem to be more accurate with it. Both are great pistols in my opinion. 0 -

YOU SOUND LIKE YOU ARE ALREADY COMMITED TO A GLOCK AND THAT IS OK BUT I HIGHLY RECCOMEND YOU SHOOT A SIG 226 B4 YOU BUY A GLOCK.THE SIG IS MORE ACCURATE,MORE RELIABLE (BASED ON THE OHIO STATE PAROLS TEST WHICH SHOWED THAT THE SIG HAD TWO JAMS IN 15000 RNDS VS THE GLOCKS 32)AND THE SIG IS A HELL OF A LOT SMOOTHER (READ LESS RECOIL) THAN THE GLOCK.IT MIGHT COST $100 MORE BUT IT IS WORTH IT.....JUST AN OPINON FROM SOMEONE WHO HAS SHOT BOTH
