A little help!!!!!

Has anyone ever heard of a Slavia .22 cal rifle? I have never hear of them. I was just given my Grandfathers. They are or were made in Czechoslovakia. Thanks for any info, and how can I find out more?

  Found "SLAVIA" in one of my references, unfortunately we have a disconnect here! It's listed as a "Break-Barrel Spring-Air Rifle", rather then a rifle chambered for the .22 cartridge. Their were made in Czechoslovakia possibly by a company with the name of "Kovo"?
  Perhaps they made a line of little known rimfire rifles?, along with their air-rifles.

  Thank you for your reply. The gun is definitely a 22. It is though, a "break-barrel" single shot. It is lightweight, and pretty tiny compared to my other .22 cal's. The stock is a single piece (wood) with no butt pad. Also this gun has no safety. Unfortunately, my Grandfather recently passed away so I really have no way to find out much about this gun except hopefully here. Would you happen to know were I could find some info on this?

  Is there such a thing? I really know very little about air rifles. It says .22 cal on the barrel. The barrel is also rifled. If this happens to be what you think it could be, what would it shoot, and where can I get them? Thanks.

  Here's a link to a on-line seller of .22 caliber air rifle pellets. It would probably be cheaper for you to procure them locally though. The .22 cal. pellets are a standard size, most sporting goods stores and discount stores with sporting goods departments carry them.

  There are absolutely .22 cal air rifles. You're Slavia is one of them. IT IS NOT a .22 cartridge rifle. .22 pellets for it are readily available from most sporting goods dealers. Beeman,BSA,Olympia, among others, currently manufacture .22 cal air rifles. It is a break barrel single stroke spring piston type. The piston seals are leather and felt, so it might be a good idea to put a few drops of sewing machine oil on them to improve sealing. They were powerful enough to kill small game animals out to about 40 yards.
  The slavia rifles were of good quality and well made. You might check out some of the air gun sites, as these older air rifles have there own collector following.
