BENCH REST PRIMERS IN AR-15??

    I don't think you have to worry, the diff in them is the quality control. you can be sure the manufacturer has covered that part of their product in this age of lawsuits. I use them myself.

    If using a Bushmaster, Colt or other MilSpec AR, I wouldn't really be too concerned with .223/5.56 slam-firing, besides, if it's going to slamfire, it will most likely do that no matter what the ammo.

    I use normal CCI small pistolRIFLE (Sorry! I was pretty tired when I posted this!Matt) primers in my AR with no problems, but I always use mil-spec primers for my .308Win and 7.62x39. Reason being is that .308/7.62 NATO is a different story. In 7.62x39, I almost expect slamfires.

    CCI does manufacture and market MilSpec primers for both Small and Large Rifle. Like I said, I've just never had a problem or use for them in .223.
