    I am about to purchase a Saiga rifle, chambered in .223. It only has a 10 rd mag with it. It is possible to get a high capacity mag for that type of rifle? Im not seeing them anywhere

    Just received my saiga 223, about 100 rounds through it, no problems, feeds good both new and relouds. Very acc. out of box, working on mounting scope and 30 rd. mag. By the time scope and mount and mag are done I have alittle over $325.00 in it. Very happy[8D]

    New Guy;
    The Saiga's are very good rifles. They are a variant of the Russian AK family, As such, they are durable, reliable, and accurate.
    I have them in .223,7.62x39 and .308win.I have fired tons of rounds thru them with out a problem with any out them. The $340 seems a liitle high, but, I've made mine a while, so the prices have probably crept up. I like mine, fun to shoot, easy to maintain. They arent
    Whetherby's, but hey, they don't cost as much either. Happy Hunting, plinking, paper punching or whatever firearms handi-craft you like.

    ... with the .223 auction prices are from 230 to 340, are there different variation for that spread of price.

    I'm not aware of any variations with the .223 Saiga. The other Saiga models (especially the shotguns) have different barrel lengths, finishes, furniture, etc. The .223 only comes one way. I've seen some sellers in the auction have one generic picture of a "Saiga" they use for all their auctions no matter what they're selling.

    I have the Saiga in 7.62x39 and have been watching the prices of the .223 since it was introduced--the price keeps dropping. It looks like a "supply and demand" issue to me; the supply is catching up with the demand so prices are falling. Personally, I'm waiting to buy one under $200.
