From my references on cartridge conversions:

"From .220 Swift. Turn rim to .441" diameter and cut new extractor groove. Anneal case neck and taper expand to about .315" dia. F/L size to set shoulder back, with expander removed. Trim to length. I.D. neck ream if necessary. F/L size and fireform."

Me, I'd buy some surplus ammo and live with that. You'll have at least 15 minutes of work in each case before you can load it for real and semi-auto actions can really beat up on brass. Another alternative would be to find brass cased (the Czechs did make it) surplus and buy Berdan primers to reload it. This is a PITA, but nothing compared to the effort of creating the casings from scratch.

I don't understand you - is not the 7.62x39 a shorter and narrower case than the 7.62x45?

You said the word....BUSHED, as in made the chamber smaller, then rechambered it. Bombsaway, if you still want to reload your own, Norma makes Boxer primed brass. Emery
