reduced safe load for .308win

any advice on a reduced load for target practice. Speer published a load using SR5749 @ 21 grains pushing 150 grn bullet. Did anyone tinkered with a reduced load of imr4064 or a similar powder???

  Hi new guy,
  Speer list a number of reduced loads for bullets from 100 gr. to 150 gr.
  What type of rifle do you shoot? Many of these loads may not function a semi. Do you have to use a 150 gr. bullet? A little more info would help.

  I shoot mostly 150 and 168 grn in a bolt action Savage bull barrel.
