Wolf Ammo
I heard that Wolf ammo messes up the barrel in your rifle. Is this true, specifically .223. Thanks.[8]

Saw this brand at gun show and noticed the 9mm was in STEEL CASINGS. Does this steel case damage a handgun? Thanks to all replies. 0 -
Check out this link here- everything you ever wanted to know about 5.56/.223 ammo. Don't take this as your only source though, AR-15.Com has several informative threads on the subject.

For plinking, I use Wolf only for my AK. Everything else - S&B.

I like Wolf rifle ammo. For pistols, Wolf leaves a bit to be desired, but it's better than some other Russian types I have tried. S&B or Dynamit Nobel are a better product. Has anyone tried Olympic?

I tried wolf .380 pistol ammo for the first time over the weekend. Dirty, barely powerful enough to cycle the action If I used a rock hard grip, jammed every time one handed. Broke the firing pin after 49 rounds had to discontinue testing. Not sure if ammo was at fault? Had fired a lot of S+B and rem umc with no problems. 7.62x39 is fine though.

I have used both Wolf and Bear Russian 9mm x 18mm ammunition in some of our Makarov handguns, have found both to be good rounds that do the job, would say that the Bear in the 120 gr. performed better than expected, in 9mm x 17mm in 95 gr. have found that it was a little weak but still did not have any problems, have not used any of their rifle ammunition.[:)] 0 -
I have shot it in 9mm and 223. It was ok, but dirty. I think it is the coating they put on it. It was cheap ammo at the time. I reload everything now, so I have not shot any in several years.

THE STEEL CASES CAN DAMAGE THE RAMP AND EXTRACTOR BETTER TO USE BRASS OF ANY KIND.

I have used Wolf in my SKS, AK and Makarov pistol. It has always worked fine. Also, each shell case is coated with some type of varnish which makes it somewhat waterproof and humidity proof and it will last in storage forever. I like it. 0 -

I'm with chunckstyle. I shoot both the .223 and the 7.62x39 out of a Mini-14 and a SKS. I wouldn't even think of putting it in my pistols
