Burris Black Diamond Scopes

Does anyone have any opinions on these scopes? I did a search on "Burris" and see that most folks love them. I have never owned one so I am just doing my research. Unfortunately I didn't discover this bulletin board before I bought a Springfield Armory scope for my Bushmaster Varminter! I am selling that scope and looking at a Burris. I found a Black Diamond 4-16x AO 50mm for $450. Is this a pretty good deal? Thanks for your feedback. I don't want to get burned twice!

  i recently purshased a burris signature scope after asking opinions from this forum. i am extremely pleased with the scope. simple, functional, and great burris rings.
  
  i also checked into the springfield armory scope and got too much negative feedback. i personally dont like all the "glass clutter" associated with rangefinding scopes.

  Thanks for your feedback. After doing some more surfing I have discovered that I have found a really good deal. Everyone else is selling this scope for at least $599. I'll go ahead and get it. At this price it might be worth buying two!

  You won't be sorry you bought one. My 4-16x44 Signature has put up with lots of 7mm mag recoil.
  
  I have had it on the gun for 4 years now, and I shoot crop damage permits in the off season. That equates to a lot of shooting every year. It has never shifted POI. I am a beleiver in their product,..it just plain works and costs less than a Leupold Vari-x III with clarity that is every bit as good.
  
  why chase the game when the bullet can get em from here?....

  Have a Burris 8X32 Black Diamond mounted on my 50 BMG and a 3X12 Black Diamond with Mil-Dots on my 7mm RUM. Both are great scopes. Bought them both used and they work just like NIB.

  Dusty, If you can get a couple more of the Burris's for that price I would be interested in them. Contact me at jmothes@pld.com. I think the Burris line has some great scopes for the money. I have used several of them over the years with complete satisfaction.

  I have a signature Varable that goes up to 24 power with A.O. don't remember the low end It's locked up in the safe right now. Any way it is a great scope and it tracks.

  Great scope. A little heavy but excellent optics. I have two and several Signature's and never a problem or regret.
