laser boresighters

Does anybody out there have strong feelings about this subject? If so what are the best one's etc?

  IMHO- just another fancy, overpriced techno whiz bang for soaking money out of peoples' pockets. Here's a poser-How did we ever do without a laser boresighter (and its' batteries)?
  If the diode isn't set properly into its' housing; you will play he** trying to collimate. If the o-ring/bushing/adapter isn't machined precisely; all you'll have is an expensive light saber taped to your muzzle[:D]

  A number of the posts here have made it appear that they are not too promising, so I agree with JPtatum. A collimator will do the job nicely, and with a bolt rifle you can look down the barrel and do the job.
