Hey guy's, first off I would like to thank everyone for all the advice and comments you have made regarding my questions. I would like to get into reloading and recently saw an item on GB. The # is
14479963. Is this a good purchase or are there better deals with dies out there. I dont know a damn thing about it so give me everything you've got.

    Thanks

    Larry

Ditto the above remarks. Buy 308 brass, it is cheap and can be bought either new or once fired. Or by factory 308 and go out and shoot them up, collect the empties, reload them. Trying to cut the '06 it NOT worth the trouble considering 308 is so easy to come by. Good luck with your reloading and please be careful, READ the manuals and dont try anything that did not come from someone who knows what they are doing. Welcome to GB, these guy and gals know thier stuff.

The other problem is that the extractor groove is bigger on a 308 than an 06. I tried it once whne i had a lot of time on my hands. Worked OK in a converted mauser, buy not my 788 rem. Send me your 30-06's and I will send you my .308's

Why does everyone feel the need to burn that much powder?
