New Glock

Where can I find technical data on the new Glock 37 and it's custom cartridge, the .45 Glock. I read a little about it in American Rifleman, but there's nothing at the official site.

  I would not purchase a new Glock in the new Glock 45 caliber. It will probably not be very well recieved by the gun industry and will be very expensive. Unless you are an acomplished reloader that is capable of loading your own ammo and sizing cases I would suggest the 40s+w or the 45 ACP.

  4God,
  Why do you say this? What are you reasons? I have no idea about this cartridge.....I just heard of it. Just wondering what your reasons were.

  Its just my opinion that the Glock 45 has little or no advantage over the 40s+w and that its expense will not justify itself.

  I have to agree with 4G&C...a round that is made to fire in only one gun has to be expensive and very difficult to find. I doubt that there will be enough circulation of this gun for the shops to keep a lot of the ammo on hand and what they do stock will sell for a premium.
  
  I would wait a while before buying this and see how it is received by consumers.

  Glock makes the model 20 (full-size) and 29 (compact) that shoots the powerful 10mm cartridge. They are out and have been for over 10 years. Some 15 round hi-caps are avaiable still if you look for them. Ballistically the 10mm is identical to the .357 mag, and can be handload to reach .41 mag levels. I can't imagine the new .45 Glock round will beat that, but I'll keep an open mind! [;)]
