Selling hi cap mags on gunbroker
I have several hi cap mags I wish to sell on GB. Now there are states where it is clearly illegal to import these "evil" things into (for example Kalifornia), so my question is, for the Non-FFL holding parton, can I sell these direct to other states, and where does my responsibility end in the transaction? I don't want to break any laws, state fed or local. Do I have to check out the laws where I might be sending it or is that the buyers problem?

States, cities, & counties have different definitions of "high capacity magazines". Yes, it is your responsibility to know the law in the state where they are to be shipped; this is a federal requirement under GCA 68.
Before shipping a high cap magazine, you need to check State Laws and Published Ordinances - Firearms ATF P5300.5. This is available on request from ATF, or can be downloaded from their website.
Of course, there are folks who will tell you that USPS doesn't routinely screen packages, and, even if they found a high cap mag, wouldn't know what it was or question its legality. But, your question has been answered and I'm sure that you will do the right thing.
