9mm handgun suggestions
I already own a Ruger P95DC. Pretty awesome sidearm. Interested in buying another 9mm pistol, perhaps something other than the P95. Any suggestions??? Looking to spend less than $500. How about other P-series Rugers? Thanks guys! Oh and by the way, my P95 is acting strange...Seems to be having a hard time takin mags. You've got to kind of make sure they are pressing forward to get them in. Why is that? It does it on any mag I try. Looks like there is a metal piece inside the grip at the back of the gun with a little pin sticking out (I think to go in the hole in the mag to lock it in. That piece is interferring with inserting the mag. Anyone know about this? Thanks!!!!

I have a Glock 19 that I am quite fond of, and it was less than $500. It is an accurate pistol that fits my hand well. I would recommend the Glock 19 for anyone looking for a 9mm. As for the Rugers, I don't have much experience with their P-series, although I do own a couple of other Ruger guns.

Like SPTiger said, Glock 19 is a good choice. Also you might look at the EAA Witness or CZ75. Excellent pistols and both can be had for around 300-400 bucks. Plus hi-caps are pretty cheap for them. If you like single-action pistol the Browning HP can be found for around 500 bucks too.

I have a safe full of 9mm's. Sig's, Walthers, HK's, S&W's, etc.and the one that I use the most is the Browning HP. I don't think you can go wrong if you get one. 0 -
only thing i can tell you is shoot a glock then goshoot a sig and i think your mind will be made up..last several times ive had the chance to do side by side comparison..the sig has won hands down.a much smoother shooting pistol and beyondd all the hype...its more reliable...ask the ohio state patrol.sig had 2 malffunctions in 15,000 rnds and the gglocck had over 30

1. MAUSER M-2 9MM
2. FN FNP-9 9MM
3. STAR MODEL B 9MM (older 1911 style design, used)
i like the new MAUSER design, and the FN-HERSTAL has some neat features. the STAR MODEL B is a tried and true tested design, and is high quality at an affordable price.

I am in the same boat but I am about to purchase my first 9mm. I am trying to choose between a Sig 220 and a beretta 92FS. The beretta is $200 can. more expensive.I want this gun for target shooting only.I would really appreciate your opinions. 0 -
If you want something small and concealable...IMHO you can't go wrong at all with the Smith & Wesson CS-9. Doesn't seem to get much press, but a dang fine firearm.
Taxation WITH representation isn't so hot either!0 -
For a full size high capacity gun, try the Walther P99. I found mine to be very accurate and easy to shoot. It also comes with 3 different back straps so you can make it fit your hand.

I second the EAA Witness suggestion. You can't do better for the money. Comes with a lifetime warrantee (not that you'll need it).
