Dano's right. It was called a "Ninety-rounder" and was made by MWG. Do a GB auction search for "drum". You'll probably find a couple.

For what people want for them you'd be better off grabbing a couple factory hi caps. 0 -
Guys, so would I. Where can I find factory Ruger 30 round mags for $30.00 ea?

From what I'ce heard, before the Beta-C Mag came along, the MWG drum was used by the military in the M16, only difference between the M16 drum and the Mini-14 drum is the feed tower. There's nothing wrong with function of them. They are actually quite dependable.

In my experience with the 90 round drums is that they suck. 0 -
I did a search looking for the info, all I found was a review on Fulton Armory's web sight saying they worked "surprizingly well". This is in their review of several AR mags. Hopefully I can track other positive reports down, as well as the info on their military use. Mine never gave me a bit of problem, in fact, I know a guy who used them in his Mini-30, loading about 70 rounds, and he said they worked fine there. Fulton Armory is generally reputable, do a search there for MWG drum, it's in their FAQ section. link is:

Added Later, been surfing trying to find requested info, no luck yet. I did find a more direct link to exactly what Fulton Armory reports on the drum, and a couple of other interesting sites regarding them. Last one is close to what I was looking for.
