What Ammo?

Have a Flobert single shot rifle and am trying to determine what ammo it takes. The only marking that may be a clue is "9 M C". There is no serial number, no maker, just some proof stamps. Looks like it may have been made turn of the 20th Century. Anyone has a guess?

  WITH THE LITTLE INFO YOU GAVE US I WOULD THINK YOU HAVE A 'GAMEKEEPER' A 9MM SHOTGUN. IS YOUR GUN A SOOMTHBORE?? FIOCCHI STILL MAKE BRASS 9 MM SHOT SHELLS. A REAL 'HOOT" ON CATS IN THE GARDEN. HOPE THIS HELPS
