S&W manufacture Dates

I have been wondering, where can I get info On Smith & Wessons. I have noticed, particularly Saxon, you can come up with the dates and was wondering where you got this info. Thanks.

  I have a collection of Smiths and would like to date the age of them.
  Model 34-1 - M169xxx
  Model 57 - N776xxx
  Model 57 - N452xxx
  Model 57 - N877xxx
  Model 57 - N878xxx
  Model 58 - N188xxx
  Someone with a good library that can help would be appreciated.

  The dates in the order you listed: 1981,1980,1978,1981,1981,1974.
