Intratec CAT-9 Questions
Do you know where this pistol is made? How does it rate quality wise?
Are they still in production? Do you know of any problems with this pistol? What is their value?
Any information would be appreciated - thanks

It was either made or imported for Intratech which has long been out of business. I don't own any of the CAT series, but you could probably find better pistols in that price range that still have factory support. $.02

The concept for the Cat 9 came from an Israeli design, known as the SD-9. The Cat 9 doesn't have sights, just a slight groove on top of the slide. Their trigger pull is usually somewhat sluggish and heavy. The trigger system is double action only, there is no external safety. They are very concealable without any edges to snag when pulling them out from underneath clothing. They were meant as a close range defense piece. They were not intended for any distance (no sights, just point and shoot). 0 -
Thanks guys - I just bought one and I'm looking forward to firing it.
The lack of sights bothered me when I first received it but then again, if I ever have use it in self defense at close range - it really doesn't matter.
I like its design - you barely know that you're carrying it in an in-the-pants holster.
Thanks again for the feedback
