Kimber info
I am a huge fan of the Glock handguns, and have found some money that I am able to spend on a new handgun, the " Kimber Custom TLE 2"
has caught my attention, but would like to know what shooters of kimbers have to say before I spend the money. There are still plenty of Glocks I could buy. So if you have any feedback good or bad on the Kimbers, and have actually shot them please let me know.

I bought the Kimber Polymer Target.45 NIB about five years ago and I have been unable to find any info on it ever since. This is a high capacity pistol that has a steel upper and polymer frame. On the front of the frame in front of the hooked trigger guard it is stamped "Bul Israel" I think this is the frame that STI uses, but I'm not sure.It is the most accurate .45 I have ever shot. It is not in the Kimber catalog, nor can I find it on the Kimber website.Has anyone ever seen one? If I knew how I would post a picture of it.-JoeyT 0 -
I have had a Kimber Gold Match for almost 5 years. Great gun, very accurate and reliable. Several friends have Kimbers and I have had the pleasure of firing several different ones. If you are in the market for a 1911, the Kimber line is hard to beat IMHO.....

I have a Kimber classic custom and I love it!!! Most accurate and reliable 1911 you can buy without having a custom gun built. 0 -
I have a Gold Match and a CDP Pro. I would buy another one. Great pistols! I also have a Glock 35 which is a great pistol. The big differance is the trigger and the feel of steel. If that is what you like then the Kimber will be a fine investment.

I have one, and after firing it a few times, I decided I no longer needed my colt. A friend and I took it to a range and out of the box we were getting 2" groups at 25 yds. Very impressive since neither
of us are "experts" or regular shooters. Very pleased with the quality and fit. Excellent weapon. In my opinion only, it's what a Colt SHOULD have been.0 -
Just keep saying to your self.....
Kimber.....Kimber.......Kimber.......Kimber

KImber is the ONLY way to go!!! Do yourself a favor, you may never buy another Glock, I won't.

I like Glocks and SIGs but I'm feeling like I am ready to get a Kimber. Everyone praises their inherent accuracy and the tight tolerances to which they are manufactured. Here's another question about the TLE II though. It looks like they took a standard Kimber Custom II and serrated the front grip strap and added some factory night sights. Is that all they did to produce the "TLE II" or are there other differences? The Kimber Eclipse series has held my attention for some time now. 0 -
i compete every weekend in uspsa events with either of two kimber gold matches and they live up to their reputation as accurate, dependable, fairly priced. they only 1911" that are better will be custom jobs at twice the price and not likly better performance. 0 -
ids, you are correct. The TLE is the same gun as the custom with the exception of night sights and serrated front strap. It was recently chosen over all other choices by the LAPD SWAT team. I own a series 1 Stainless Custom Target and the only thing I don't like is the adjustable sights because they are silouette and I prefer three dot.
