Is it me?

Every handgun I have owned has shot low. Adjust the rear sight up almost to max and it solves the problem. Is it my eyes,grip,trigger pull, or gun? Any ideas would be welcomed.

  Try sighting in the gun on a rest, where you have very little contact with it. I've seen handgun rests at Acadamy and other sporting goods stores for a reasonable price. Then once you get it sighted in, go from there.
  
  I'm no pro but it sounds to me that you are maybe pushing into the gun's recoil when you shoot. Are you using the old "cup and saucer" shooting grip?

  The advice offered by both of the above is very good. Also practice your squeeze with breathing. Sight, breath in, hold and squeeze, good shooting.[:D]

  I'm no expert, but when I first got a ruger revolver, I had this problem as well. I had been taught to hold a "fine sight", sometimes used back around the '20's ect. Proper sight alignment is by
  having the top of the front sight even with the 'ears' of the rear sight, the front sight centered. I was using the fine hold of some old rifles (my dad never had a pistol), by putting the top of the front sight in the bottom of the vee groove of the rear sight. It seemed OK for rifles, but you really have to jack up the rear sight.
  When I finally figured out what everyone was trying to tell me, that solved MY problem. Just a thought.

  Possibly trigger control? "If you jerk the trigger you will shoot low almost every time" said my shooting instructor, "Squeeze it slowly and get that surprize break." The surprize break was explained to me as that exact moment when the hammer falls, you should be squeezing the trigger so slowly that it should catch you by surprize. Ofcourse you know that the hammer will fall, but you aren't sure about the exact moment(nanosecond)when it will. This advise helped me immeasurably.

  Try this Ive often seen it improve ones shooting.Dont take such a fine bead with your sites.Meaning use the area of the sites that most Manufactures paint white or if their Trijicon,just put more of your front sight into the target,this will raise your point of aim.Its not just you alot of people do the same thing.Just let your whole front site show,if it high work your way down.HTH
