22 Barrel Liners
I may soon have a 1890 Winchester in 22WRF and was wondering if anyone could tell me if they have relined their own rifle,if so what twist rate did you use. I know that originally they had a 1:14twist. I was thinking that I could get away with the 1:16 that many 22magnums use??? Any help would be appreciated. Redman is the only 22 liner that I know of and they don't offer a 1:14twist.

Since nobody else replied I will offer what little info I have. I have relined several .22 barrels but I have no idea of what twist they have. I bought a batch of .22 barrel liners many years ago from someone who was retiring and used them on several rifles and pistols. 0 -
Continued, sorry punched the wrong button before I got finished. Never did a .22WRF. At first I soldered the tubes in. Lately I converted a 51 Colt Navy and a .44 Remington C&B (both repros) to .22 and epoxied the barrel tubes in. I know that does not answer your question but I didn't want you to be completely ignored. Hope it helps. 0 -
