Help identifying single barrel percussion pistol
A friend found this lying on the ground on his farm in central Maryland; since there was much Civil War action in the area, it's a good guess that it has been there for 140 years. It's badly rusted & the wood is half eaten by termites, but it is an interesting relic. Bore is about .58 cal, length is 18", barrel is 10 1/4" long, 1" wide brass band on front of stock, 3/4" iron band on middle.
I would appreciate some help identifying this; it's not shown in any of my reference books. I can email multiple high quality photos to anyone who thinks they can help.

To help You, will require that You help Me...A Photo would be of emmence help...but a complete and total discription is going to be crucial also...Are any Names, Numbers or Letters visable on the Barrel or Lockplate..? Any marks on the Butt or Barrel Band? Is there an escussion Plate opposite the Lockplate....Need information.....!....
