storage problem
how do you store your pumps , semi-autos and over-unders ? with the hammer cocked? placeing long term tention on the hammer spring.Or do you [shudder] drop the hammer on a empty chamber? [?]

Hi ya....I always store my guns and customers guns with the hammer dropped so there is no tention on the hammer srping for a long period of time......[8D]

Another question is storing horizontal or vertically? Vertically has the issue of lubrication flowing into the action 0 -
I store all long guns with the barrel down. This keeps the oil, etc, from entering the stocks. Also use golden rods in the safes. As far as spring tension, I always release prior to vault storage. Very easy on Parkers. On other sxs I still release spring tension. On semi's-
same deal. Just be aware of safety considerations. I would never store an arm on it's side-unless a synthetic stocked arm. 1010
