Sale Of Old Firearm

i am currently in the military, and my buddy had a .357 i want to buy off him. The problem is he bought it off one of his buddies 20 years ago, will there be any problem changing and or putting this gun in my name? hope soemone can help,

  Have him sign a bill of sale that has the make, model, caliber amd serial number on it. Register the weapon with the Military Police. If you live off post comply with the state laws where you are stationed.[8D]

  Have Him sign the Bill of Sale in front of a NOTARY PUBLIC....Its added insurance.......
