the gun will have to be shipped to a local ffl dealer of your choice. You will probaly have to pay the dealer a little bit for using his ffl. You will register it there. I dont know much about california laws. This is how it works here in Texas. Good Luck.

`Exactly what type of "gun" did you purchase and want to ship into this state? If it is a handgun it will have to be on the approved handgun list for sale here in California, one of the exempt types (mostly single actions) or a curio and relic. If it is any type of assault weapon (any of the three catagories) you are not now allowed to own it in this state (there were a number of cut off dates) and although it could be shipped to your dealer, he won't be able to transfer it to you. This is the same with a non compliant handgun, the dealer can receive it, but he can't transfer it to you.

If the firearm is legal in this state you need to find a dealer to receive it for you. He will no doubt charge you service a fee- I charge one- (no set limit as this is not a flat rate $20 private party transaction), charge you the mandated state fees, do the paperwork, and hold the gun during the 10 day waiting period. You will also need to purchase an approved trigger lock or show that you own a gun safe. If this was a $50 .22 rifle you are into fee's over and above the value of the firearm. Good luck.

Hello, move to a different state.

Paranoid keeps you alive, worry just gives you stomach problems.

Politics- From the words poly, meaning many, and tics, which are just little blood suckers.

If "con" is the opposite of "pro," then what is the opposite of progress?
