Question concerning caseless 22 ammo
I hafta check it out, but, there might be a small quantity of Daisy caseless 22 ammo in 1000 rd. bricks laying in a store.
I've never had anything to do with that stuff, even at gun shows, so, it is a complete unknown to me.
Anybody know what going market movement would be? I would only be getting it for the collectability/sales aspect.

Back in the late "60"s ("68" or so) Daisy brought out a rifle which used caseless ammo that was ignited by compressed air. It was cocked by an underlever similar to a lot of pellet rifles today. The designer of the technology was a fellow by the name Van Langenhoven, or something like that, hence the designation of VL. Typical of Daisy's foray into the firearms world it bombed! I think they only made them a couple of years. I have seen ammo, nice clean 100pks, price from $8.50 in lots of ten to $20.00 each, with generally no takers. Unless you can get them REALLY cheap, or have a personal use for the ammo, I suspect it might be wise to pass on the deal.

gunboob, the short answer is "not worth the effort." I see the stuff offered relatively regularly at shows and on-line for prices on the order of $0.10 a round, sometimes less, and it sits. A collector will pick up a single or at most a single tube. There were few of the weapons sold, so there's virtually no market for the stuff for shooting. Price hasn't gone up in years and I still don't see it moving. 0
