Winchester modle 24 SXS
Hi all........
you have all bin so helpfull on all my questions so I thought I would ask another one...
I have a project in the works I`m restoring a model 24 sxs winchester shotgun, and the only part I can`t find is the butt stock bolt, I`ve tried gunparts and they don`t have any, I was woundering if any body new of any other places......Thanks...[:D]

I've got a model 24, 20 ga. It looks to me that it wouldn't be much of a job to make the stock bolt. It's Palm Sunday and were having guess over, so I can't do it today, but I'll pull the plate off mine, pull the bolt, measure it, check the thread size and give you the all the dimensions. I'll get to it as soon as I can.

Hi. Ranger,
Here's the specs. on that stock bolt.
Bolt:
Overall length = 4.65
Head Dia. = .560
Head thickness = .207
Slot = .091 wide
.098 deep
Shank Dia. = .245
Thread length = .798
24 threads per inch.
Split washer
Outside Dia. = .847
Thickness = .051
Center hole = .270
This split washer looks as if they took a piece of .051 spring steel and stamped a bend on either side of the split, one side up and the other side down. It's not very pretty.
