Rossi .22 Slide Carbine

I have emailed a couple of Rossi shooters before I thought to put this out for all to ponder. It has surfaced that our dandy little Rossi .22 (s,l,lr) slide carbine has been accidently damaged by a youthful family member. We have a bent magazine tube (the outer, blued tube) that would need to be removed from the rifle to be straightened. Is that thing braded into the receiver or can it come off in normal disassembly? The small screw on the port side of the receiver looks to be too short to be a locking screw for the tube. Removing the screws holding the fore grip does not reveal any solution. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks. Best, Jim
