.45 brass issues

Has anyone had problems feeding reloaded .45acp rounds through there pistol,with the headstamp of A-MERC? Other brand brass feeds fine.

  I have fed more different head stamps through my government model than I care to think about. I don't recognize the HS that you have. Check all the dimensions of the brass, including the case wall.

  I have some A-Merc .45 ammo, most of it reloaded twice. No problems noted here.
  
  Did you reload this stuff? Any possibility of a slipped sizer die for the particular lot?

  A-Merc has very thin walls. If your gun is relatively new, the brass may actually get bent while feeding. Look at the cartridge that failed to feed and see if there is a dent in the brass. I know of at least one person that has this problem even with new cartridges.
  
  What type of feed failure are you getting?
  
  Are you putting in a proper taper crimp at the last station?

  If you check the reloader's forums, you will find many comments about AMERC brass. The concensus is that it is junk and not worth the trouble to reload, suffering from inconsistent dimensions and even metallurgy. Save yourself the aggravation and scrap it.

  Just a hint: If you're serious about reloading for .45ACP, get some GI brass.....the stuff lasts forever.

  Yea, I can't reload the stuff either. It seem's to expand and contract to easily going out of shape upon seating of the bullet. I usually just pic it out and throw it away.

  Whenever I see Amerc stamp it goes in the trash can. I like Winchester and Remington brass if you can find it military brass it is great also just make sure there is no primer crimp.

  Bought a bunch of brass with a lot of those. A nightmare. Rule of thumb: don't buy brass you don't know what the headstamps are. You will be unhappy.
