Anyone Know Anything About SAMCO GA?
Been contemplating buying a Persian M98/29 Mauser from this outfit called "SAMCO Global Arms Inc." that I saw in Shotgun News. My gun-store friends tell me the Persian Mausers were excellent---and I'm prepared to take their word for it---but the REAL issues are:
(A) How good are their "Special Selection" rifles in terms of finish,
bore, wood, etc.?
(B) Has anyone here done business with them? If so, are they trust-
worthy?
Inquiring---but cautious---minds want to know!

Perhaps as long as 3 years ago I ordered several rifles from them for customer collectors. The rifles were Swedish Mausers, and were as advertised. Also, 2 or 3 years ago one of the gun magazines did a write-up on the Persian Mauser which they acquired from SAMCO, and gave the gun and the company a rave review. Very recently I saw the Persian Mauser advertised elsewhere at considerably less in excellent condition--perhaps it was the Shotgun News. All in all, I think that they are an honest company, but overpriced. 0
