Could you please tell me what a preban olympic arms OA-93 Lower in mint condition is worth. Thank you David (ellechim11@cs.com)

  Hey dave....my rep sent me back an e-mail and said a complete OA93 is about 2500 to 3500, so you can mayde judge what the lower is worth.

  If memory serves, the OA93 was the pistol. No matter whether the poster has a pistol or rifle lower receiver, if the receiver is bare, it cannot be legally assembled into a Pre-Ban pistol or rifle now, so the value is theoretically no more than any Oly Post-Ban lower receiver. The receiver must have been a complete firearm (or at least in a "package" with all the necessary parts to complete it) on September 13, 1994 and never have been separated from the parts to make it complete. If it was never complete, or is now bare even if complete on the ban date, it has lost its Pre-Ban status and is legally "Post-Ban." Realistically, there are those who, if the receiver were made before 9-13-94, are willing to break the law and assemble a Pre-Ban configured firearm on such lowers. They would probably pay more than the cost of a common Post-Ban lower.
  
  I wonder if Oly sold left over lowers marked with the OA93 marking after the ban when Oly could no longer legally assemble the OA93? As valuable and rare as OA93 pistols are, I cannot imagine anyone destroying the value of a complete OA93 by creating a bare receiver by removing the parts.
  
  There is a website that gives serial numbers of Pre- and Post-Ban serial numbers that might help establish the age of the lower. I speculate this lower was shipped "Post-Ban" and someone is trying to sell the poster such a lower with the idea that a Pre-Ban firearm configuration can be legally assembled on it.
