I purchased a Winchester M1 U.S. rifle for $200 I read somthing in a gun blue book about if the gun has a (D) suffex and 2 serial # which it does. Any info on value ect.. would be great

  I purchased a Winchester M1 30 cal U.S. rifle for $200 I read somthing in a gun blue book about if the gun has a (D) suffex and 2 serial # which it does it increases the value considerably. Any info on value ect.. would be great

  Winchesters, like all other USGI M1 rifles, had only 1 serial #. Many of the parts also have a drawing #, which may have a prefix or suffix. Certain parts need to have certain drawing numbers for us to know if they are original; you need a book to look that up.
  
  Value is based on originality & condition. Yours is worth between $200 and $3,000.
