I have a gun that I need to find the value of. Triple barrel gun, 16 ga. side by side with rifle barrel under. Lots of fine engraving, Schnabel forearm, beautiful wood, very tight and apparently German. Double trigger, hammerless, some gold inlay. An absolutely impressive gun in near perfect condition, no scratches or dings, fine grained wood, and only some loss of barrel blueing. One side of the barrels say "HOFBUCH SENMACHER" and the other side says "G. L. RASCH BRAUNSCHWEIG".

  I have been looking for some information about this gun for some while now and have been unable to find any records of it. Does anyone know anything about this type of .22?
  
  The gun is a H&R .22 single shot bolt action with the word "PAL" stamped into the barrel. On the butt plate it had the company logo of H&R. The only number I see on the barrel is 565.
  
  Does anyone have any information about this gun? Any help is appreciated.

  This type of gun is called a drilling. There are a couple of posters here with some expertise on drillings. You will need to post more information on condition of the firearm before anyone can begin to give you a guess on value.

  Factors that can affect value are caliber, embellishments, damascus barrels, hammer or hammerless, sites, trigger type, along with a multitude of other factors.

  The triple barrel gun is in absolutely perfect condition, very tight, no dings or scratches, only a little loss on the barrel blueing. The wood is brilliant grained and fine engraving. Pop up sight with the safety, bullet holder in stock under engraved plate. Some gold inlay around barrel at receiver end and three gold raised knotches behind barrel entry. Double trigger and barrel breakdown lever under the double triggers. I have a lot of guns but never seen one like this. I was so impressed that I put down a deposit until I could find more info on value. Let me know asap--- I only have today to confirm my intent to buy. Thank you very much.
