What do you think about buying the Olympic .223 Plinker and then buying the free floating heavy stainless barrel upper for it. Do you think that would be a good investment?

  Are any Oly Arms upper receivers forged? If they are how can I tell

  Hi Hunter,
  Check out SGN, there must be 2 dozen places that sell kits and uppers. According to my gunsmith, most receivers, uppers and kits can be built into a good shooting rifle. It may be only a matter of trying different parts to fine tune the fit. Good luck.

  Model 1 Sales, out of Fox River Grove, ILL. They sell assembled uppers for less than what many ask for parts-uppers. The quality is every bit as good as anyone else's, too.
