I have a 22 pistol single shot with a 10 " barrel the only number on the gun is on the barrel and it is 55062 the only other writing on the gun is J.STEVENS A.& T.CO CHICOPEE FALLS MASS USA. And that also is on the barrel. it has wodden grips and i do have pics if somone could tell me more about it and if they need to see it . thanks in advance.....Dan R

  Per Flayderman the "J. Stevens Arms And Tool Company" barrel address was used on the Stevens pistols between 1886 & 1916.
  From the serial number, I believe your pistol is the "Stevens Offhand Target No. 35" model. It was made between 1907 and 1916, with a total production of app. 35,000. Because of the relatively high production numbers, it's one of the more common of the Stevens pistols.
