Marlin guns for stock program
Back in 1930 Frank Kenna (Marlin's president) introduced a promotion in which you would purchase 4 shares of Marlin stock @ $25 per share and get a a gun for free. I am looking to confirm what model guns were offered and how many of each actually were "given" away. I am also interested to see promotional literature etc.
Thanks,
Doug

deldillco, yes they did offer guns for stocks. They offered the marlin lever action .410's. they had two grades, a plain grade and a high grade. the more stock you bought, the higher grade gun you got. I don't know how many they actually gave away, but they can still be found at gun shows and they carry a hefty price tag. I've seen them for around 7-15.
I don't have any literature, but I'll ask around for some.0
